Featuring Body of Water presented by Luther College with a pre-performance gallery exhibit by Ames High School Bluestem Institute
Body of Water, originally presented at Luther College in March of 2015, utilizes dance, music and video to communicate the story of one watershed in Iowa. From the program description on Luther College's Visual and Performing Arts page:
The performance will begin at 7 p.m.. Run time is approximately 1 hour; a facilitated dialogue will follow.
Please join us at 6 p.m. for a pre-show gallery exhibit featuring Lexicon of Sustainability photo mosaic posters created by Ames High School Bluestem Institute students that define water quality terms from a technical, social, and cultural perspective (see photo below). These information artworks were created in collaboration with Project Localize, an effort of the Lexicon of Sustainability project. Students will be present to describe their posters, the process, and the lessons learned.
This event is funded in part by the Iowa Water Center and the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture.
