An event in northeast Iowa, Tuesday, May 30, will explore issues related to “Karst, Water Quality & Livestock: Finding Balance for a Sensitive Geography.” The forum will take place at Luther College in Decorah, in Olin Hall, Room 102.

A public meeting has been set for Wednesday, June 14th at 9 AM at the Oakland Community Center to further discuss the formation of a Watershed Management Authority (WMA) for the East and West Nishnabotna Watersheds and IWA-related activities. Cities, Counties, SWCDs, and all other interested parties are welcome to attend to learn more about participating in this important organization.

Iowa Watershed Approach partners will join the Clear Creek Watershed Coalition for their quarterly meeting on Wednesday, July 19 at 5 PM at the Coralville City Hall. The meeting will allow partners to share updates on recent news and activities of the Iowa Watershed Approach.

Iowa Watershed Approach partners will join the Middle Cedar Watershed Management Authority (WMA) for their quarterly meeting on Tuesday, July 25th at 3 PM at the Farmer’s Savings Bank & Trust in Vinton.

The State Hygienic Laboratory’s Laboratory Symposium will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017, at the Ankeny DMACC Campus.  The agenda and registration information will be available in June.  This year is the 50th Anniversary of the Laboratory Symposium.
