IPC Funding Opportunity Announcement (NFO) Summary
 
The IPC (FY) 2019 Notice of Funding Opportunity is available for applications through February 04, 2019.  The Opportunity Number is USDA-NRCS-IA-19-01.  The opportunity can be found easily through the basic search criteria by using the opportunity number, or by searching the CFDA of 10.902.  It can also be found by filtering for All Department of Agriculture.
 
PURPOSE
 
NRCS is announcing the potential availability of funding for agreements for the purpose of leveraging NRCS resources, addressing local natural resource issues, encouraging collaboration and developing state-and -community-level conservation leadership.  Successful applicant proposals must be for projects based in Iowa and focus on the conservation issues highlighted within the NFO.  Collaborative projects that provide on-the-ground support for Iowa NRCS Field Offices are highly encouraged.  Research proposals will not be accepted, nor considered.
 
FUNDING
 
NRCS anticipates that the amount available for support of this program in FY 2019 will be up to $5,000,000.00.  The funding floor for this announcement $25,000.00 and the funding ceiling is $750,000.00.  The funding floor means the minimum agreement funding amount for the Federal share per agreement awarded. The ceiling is the maximum agreement funding amount for the Federal
share per agreement awarded. The exact amount and composition of available funds has not yet been determined.
 
ELIGIBILITY
 
Proposals are requested from Federally recognized Indian Tribal Organizations, state government, local government, nongovernmental
organizations, or institutions of higher education for competitive consideration of awards for projects between 1 and 5 years in duration.

Proposals may be submitted at any time between December 06, 2018 and 5:00 p.m. CST on February 4, 2019. Applicants must submit proposals via Grants.gov at https://www.grants.gov/web/grants/home.html  and via e-mail to the following address: Judy Martinson at Judy.Martinson@ia.usda.gov with a cc to Carolyn Christian at Carolyn.Christian@ia.usda.gov.  Please enter “FY19
IPC APF, the ORGANIZATION NAME, AND a SHORT PROJECT TITLE” in the subject line of the email.  The application package should be emailed as individual files and should not be in a zip file format. The application package must include all requirements of this notice, including the Iowa 2019 IPC Request for Proposal Template
 
A four-hour informational meeting for interested applicants will be held on or about January 4, 2019.
