Fall 2025 Water Resilience Collaborative Graduate Student Grant Program Now Open

The Water Resilience Collaborative (WRC) at Iowa State University has announced its Fall 2025 Graduate Student Grant Program, offering funding to support student-led projects and conference travel focused on advancing water security and resilience across Iowa and beyond.

Supporting Student-Led Innovation

The WRC invites proposals from full-time graduate students in any department whose research aligns with water sustainability and resilience. The program encourages creative, interdisciplinary work that strengthens understanding and innovation across Iowa’s urban–rural landscape.

Two types of grants are available:

  • Research Grants – up to $5,000 for individual projects or $10,000 for collaborative projects lasting one year.
  • Travel Grants – up to $1,000 for students presenting their research at national or international conferences between October 2025 and May 2026.

All proposals are due by October 31, 2025, and recipients will share their findings through presentations at events such as the Iowa Water Conference.

Building a More Resilient Future

The WRC is a growing network of researchers and extension leaders working toward a shared goal — ensuring safe and healthy water for people, ecosystems, and communities. Supported by ISU donors, ISU Extension and Outreach, and the College of Engineering, the Collaborative aims to foster world-class research, education, and community engagement in water sustainability.
